Your Flight To Miami Is Delayed ....

Actually, it was a pretty painless day. Pickup at 7:15am for the trip to Philly Airport. The traffic wasn't too bad. Check-in and bag check was quick, and we got to hang out in the Admirals Club for an hour to grab breakfast. Plus, Allison could walk through the airport with the "new knee," so that was a great start.

Then we get to the gate, and ... they're missing a Flight Attendant, so we all have to wait another 20 minutes for her. In the grand scheme of things no big deal. We board the plane, proudly wearing our "Excuse Me While I Travel The World" shirts (Thanks Mitzi!). Allison, of course, is striking up conversations with the entire plane and discovers that the couple behind us is on the same cruise as us!

American Airlines managed NOT to lose our bag (more on the other bags tomorrow), and we grabbed an Uber and made it to the Mandarin Oriental in Downtown Miami - our temporary home for the next 2 days. We have a Skyline Suite with an amazing view of the city.

Tomorrow (Friday) is a free day, so we'll do a little shopping and just generally catch our breath. Friday evening, we have an in-hotel reception with some of our fellow Round-The-Worlders and then we board the boat on Saturday at Noon. Saturday Night is a full gala dinner with all the RTWs (about 2/3 of the boat). On Sunday, while the first-segment only <Miami to San Francisco> passengers board, we have our first excursion. It's a three-hour Airboat Everglades Tour - with Alligators.
